Prayer Need
| From:
Ray Curran [mailto:rcurran@mail.ru] Sent: Friday, March 09, 2001 2:03 PM Subject: from Tambov, Russia...prayer need We know there are certainly far more significant prayer needs than ours at this time in this suffering world, but I send this letter to you our dear family and friends who know us and have shown a heart to reach these Russian people for Christ. The situation is, we need to find a permanent and suitable meeting hall here in Tambov to conduct church services in several times a week. We've been in a couple different places in the past couple of months, but subsequently we lost the place or it proved unsuitable and we couldn't stay there. We've been searching a lot for other places, but with no success so far. They either are unavailable or they refuse to rent to a church. I don't know of many options left and we face a deadline. For in just 2 weeks, a large group from Calvary Chapels in Seattle, Portland, Moscow, and St. Petersburg will be coming here to Tambov for a week to evangelize, hold Christian concerts, and help us "kick off" this new Calvary Chapel here. We're greatly excited about this opportunity and look forward to it. But while it was relatively easy to find a temporary meeting hall to rent for the group for just the week they will be here, again, we still don't have a permanent place to nurture the new believers that will result from this outreach. So I'm asking you who desire or can, to please make a note of this and perhaps pray for just a moment each day for the next 3 weeks: - for a suitable permanent
meeting hall for Tambov Calvary Chapel THANKS! We believe strongly that your prayers will make a difference. We also feel better that we're not bearing this burden alone. It's been hard to not feel a bit of anxiety after weeks of disappointments and rejection. We thank our Lord too. We know he will answer this prayer perfectly according to his will. God bless you. We'll send a report out the beginning of April after the group leaves. Ray & Rebecca Curran |
