| Dear Beloved Son Light
Family,
|
| The Protestant Chaplaincy
Ministry within the six facilities of the Orange County Juvenile Justice
Complex continues to be blessed by God!
|
| Most of the youth who
are incarcerated are lost in despair and hopelessness. Life has no
meaning and they live life as if this day alone is all to be considered.
There is no regret for the past and no anxiety for the future. They are
time bound by a tremendous desire to pursue pleasure in the now.
|
| When a troubled youth begins
to think about more abstract concepts like the meaning of life, why am I
here, and what is the significance of mankind, they begin to reach out
for truth. It is during these times that God provides tremendous grace
and reveals Himself. His grace provides the faith for youth to believe
the truth about the Lord Jesus Christ. Once a youth has placed their
trust in Christ, they are born again by the Holy Spirit and given a new
nature within them. God begins to work from the inside out, transforming
youth from hedonistic, pleasure-driven felons to other-directed children
of God. It has been my good pleasure to watch God work in the lives of
troubled youth spanning four decades. God is both good and powerful. He
indeed changes lives !
|
| Son Light Christian Center
has been an integral part of this ministry since 1982. For eighteen
years the Son Light family has prayed for incarcerated youth and this
ministry. Consistent monthly support has come to personally provide for
my family. Living as a home missionary I am dependent upon the Lord to
work through His family to provide for my family and fund a ministry to
six facilities. Son Light has been an extremely faithful partner
with this work and it can be said emphatically that Son Light has a
heart for home missions and loving the unlovely of society.
|
| Thank you Son Light Family
and may God continue to richly bless you.
