Chaplains
Bob and Pat Mecado work throughout the Los Angeles Sheriff’s
facilities, California Dept. of Corrections and MacLaren's Children's
Center for abused and neglected children. They also work in Correctional
facilities for adults and children throughout other parts of the United
States. They write to thousands of men, women and children behind
institutional prison walls. As
street-wise, former addicts, they effectively work with adults, abused
and abandoned children, teenagers, prisoners and those who are suffering
over addicted and estranged family members. They also conduct several
gatherings for men, women and children in L.A. & Orange County areas
in California for those who have been affected by drugs, alcoholism,
domestic & gang violence, rape, divorce, loneliness and also for
people who want to be an encouragement to those who are still hurting. They
also speak in schools, universities, churches, organizations of all
kinds, rehabilitation facilities, ROTC and Law Enforcement classes,
domestic violence seminars and the Armed forces. They
have appeared nationally on syndicated television programs including the
700 Club, Trinity Broadcasting Network, the Teen Talk program, KTLA
news, as well as other television networks, and have been featured in
several magazines and been interviewed on several radio broadcasts. For
